i find farrr more joy in things from childhood when i dont revisit them for “nostalgia”. i rewatched icarly just cuz i wanted to. i listen to the total drama world tour soundtrack all the time cuz theyre GREAT songs. i noticed so many new things when i reread tintin, which reignited my love for it.

but i felt bad when i rewatched some 6teen to see if it was as good as i remember it. or when i went back to my hometown to remember all the buildings. i love those things forever but revisiting it to remember made me feel like i was stagnent, like i wasnt using my mind to create new. i hate the feeling. why would i want to award something on the basis of what younger me already rewarded it? it wants a new ribbon

I always think about how minus the people close to Anne and parts of the government, the rest of the world thinks that the s3 frogvasion was a hoax or a movie stunt gone wrong. Not only have the trio been through something no one else on earth can comprehend, but if they try to talk about it to even a therapist, they're more likely to be labeled as delusional or in psychosis.

one of the reasons i love mulder and scully's relationship so much is bc i'm ace and they're one of the very few romantic relationships in media that isn't sexual, it feels like unintentional representation to me. there's only like 2 times in the entire series where it's implied that they have sex and you could straight up ignore that and pretend it didn't happen if you wanted to bc it's not relevant at all and it's just that, implied. their romantic relationship is based mostly on friendship and mutual respect and admiration, it's not really sexual at all. it makes me very happy bc there's rarely any romantic relationships in media that don't also involve a sexual aspect and that's very alienating to someone like me who doesn't want to have sex, i only want romance. when i first watched txf a few years ago, i was still in denial about being asexual so i didn't realize why i felt this way then but it felt like a breath of fresh air seeing a relationship like this. it was, and still is, so comforting to see a relationship like this and it was one of the reasons i fell in love with them and still love them years later. they are truly an amazing couple in this aspect and i'm very glad to have discovered them

Melis hasn't been to the cabin very much (because it rained so much last year, ground that is usually solid... stopped being that) so when we decided to take her with us on a two-night trip for a change of scenery, we didn't know quite how she'd react.

It went surprisingly well, only challenges being 1) she gets up an hour before our regular wakeup time and Can Not Fathom anyone wanting to be in bed for even a second longer than that and

2) not used to Troj making noises is her sleep. which makes Melis bark, making Troj wake up to bark, a very confusing situation for Troj that is hard to stop because Troj doesn't know Troj is barking at Trojself.
